Summary

The New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series soars to new heights in this graphic novel adaptation!

The lost heir to the SeaWing throne is going home at last。She can't believe it's finally happening。 Tsunami and her fellow dragonets of destiny are journeying under the water to the great SeaWing Kingdom。 Stolen as an egg from the royal hatchery, Tsunami is eager to meet her future subjects and reunite with her mother, Queen Coral。But Tsunami's triumphant return doesn't go quite the way she'd imagined。 Queen Coral welcomes her with open wings, but a mysterious assassin has been killing off the queen's heirs for years, and Tsunami may be the next target。 The dragonets came to the SeaWings for protection, but this ocean hides secrets, betrayal -- and perhaps even death。The New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series takes flight in this first graphic novel edition, adapted by the author with art by Mike Holmes。

I would say this one is even worse then the first they cut out a lot of Tsunamis charm and it really was missing the magic of the actual book。 I would only recommend this to big fans of the series but I am really doubting this adaptation of the series。

It left out some good parts that were in the actual book, but being honest, I'm really glad that I read it! Anenome is actually really cute in it。 I hate Whirlpool though。。。 It left out some good parts that were in the actual book, but being honest, I'm really glad that I read it! 3。5 stars。 Interesting, with lots of trying to figure out who betrayed who and who is currently betraying who, conflict between the different clans of dragons and individual dragons, and some happy parts。 Lovely art again, I love the blues and greens。🐉 Warning: A little language。

Middle grade。 Graphic novel。 Fantasy。Story: In part two of the series, Tsunami searches for her mother under the sea。 Language: Follows similar style as book one in the series。Characters: All the dragonets from book one。I liked this story better than the first, but I still wasn't drawn in。 I think if there was a ot summary anywhere on the book, or a character index, I'd enjoy it more。 I bet this would make a great animated series。 Middle grade。 Graphic novel。 Fantasy。Story: In part two of the series, Tsunami searches for her mother under the sea。 Language: Follows similar style as book one in the series。Characters: All the dragonets from book one。I liked this story better than the first, but I still wasn't drawn in。 I think if there was a ot summary anywhere on the book, or a character index, I'd enjoy it more。 I bet this would make a great animated series。 。。。more

12th book of the year out of a 100。 Alright book enjoyed the first one much better, but I think that's because this ones a grapic novel so is pretty short and doesn't go into much depth。 12th book of the year out of a 100。 Alright book enjoyed the first one much better, but I think that's because this ones a grapic novel so is pretty short and doesn't go into much depth。 。。。more

I think this book is very fun for people who like adventure, fighting, and magic。 I think the graphic novel is less boring than a novel。 You don't need to imagine stuff because there are pictures there。 Since it's a fantasy novel with a lot of words I don't know (because I'm nine years old) the pictures help。 One of my favorite things in this story is Glory。 She can turn invisible and spit venom, but she's lazy and likes to take naps。 I think she's cool。 In a world full of dragons, Clay, Sunny, I think this book is very fun for people who like adventure, fighting, and magic。 I think the graphic novel is less boring than a novel。 You don't need to imagine stuff because there are pictures there。 Since it's a fantasy novel with a lot of words I don't know (because I'm nine years old) the pictures help。 One of my favorite things in this story is Glory。 She can turn invisible and spit venom, but she's lazy and likes to take naps。 I think she's cool。 In a world full of dragons, Clay, Sunny, Tsunami, Glory and Starflight are the dragonets of destiny。 In the first book, we found out that their destiny was to end the war。 They were trying to go find their families in each individual kingdom, but were always disappointed or thwarted。 In the first book, we saw that Clay visited his kingdom, the MudWings。 He was disappointed when he found out that his mother was the laziest dragon alive and had sold him when he was an egg。 When the second book begins, they are trying to find Tsunami's mother, Queen Coral of the SeaWings。 Because Tsunami's mother is only nice to her daughters, she puts the other dragons in prison without telling Tsunami。 Eventually Tsunami finds her friends chained up and helps them escape。 For a time, everything is alright, but a SandWing confused Queen Coral by trying to tell her Tsunami killed her husband。 To keep her daughter from leaving, Queen Coral put her and her friends back in prison。 Just as the dragonets break out of prison again, the SkyWing attack the SeaWing and the dragonets get caught in the middle。 They tried to fly away, but one of the dragons that helped them got poisoned by a SandWing and he got weaker and weaker as they flew to safety。 They made a plan to go to the Rainforest Kingdom because the RainWings have venom that might help。 To be continued in book 3。。。 。。。more

It’s amazing getting to see my favorite characters in a graphic novel。 I do think that it’d be confusing if you haven’t read the actual books, though, so let that be a warning。 Otherwise, this book is perfect。

Kailey Pearson

I also really like graphic novels you can picture the characters a lot more and it tells the story really good with picture but if you have never read a graphic novel before you might get confused what it happening and what happens next。

Clark

great。 a little harsh and violent, but still good。

How she dose it allHow tsunami worked things put in the beginning of the story she was freaking out and she didn't want her friends to get hurt but near the end of the story she raised that she needs to think twice before she stake dragons like that and I feel like that that is the moral of the story。 I rate this book 10/10 it is a book that you need to read How she dose it allHow tsunami worked things put in the beginning of the story she was freaking out and she didn't want her friends to get hurt but near the end of the story she raised that she needs to think twice before she stake dragons like that and I feel like that that is the moral of the story。 I rate this book 10/10 it is a book that you need to read 。。。more

This one was even better then the last one because there was a lot of battle and that makes it more exiting when there is more going on but this one is a five star for me just like the last one but I feel like this one is butter then the first one。 So I can't wait to read the next one cause I think that this book series is one of the best that I have read in my life time because all of the book I read are really good but this series is the best yet。 This one was even better then the last one because there was a lot of battle and that makes it more exiting when there is more going on but this one is a five star for me just like the last one but I feel like this one is butter then the first one。 So I can't wait to read the next one cause I think that this book series is one of the best that I have read in my life time because all of the book I read are really good but this series is the best yet。 。。。more

I can't tell if I like this series or not。 Obviously I've read two volumes, and I'm mildly interested in knowing what will happen in the future。 But。。。 also, I could just stop reading right now and I think I'd forget all about it in no time。 But I think this is a story that would definitely appeal to middle grade readers, and I think the illustrations in the graphic novels are fantastic。 I can't tell if I like this series or not。 Obviously I've read two volumes, and I'm mildly interested in knowing what will happen in the future。 But。。。 also, I could just stop reading right now and I think I'd forget all about it in no time。 But I think this is a story that would definitely appeal to middle grade readers, and I think the illustrations in the graphic novels are fantastic。 。。。more

I’m reading this graphic novel series with my 7 year old son。 We love it! And now my 11 year old daughter is reading the series too。 The storytelling is awesome! The plots are awesome! The twists are awesome! It is very appropriate for young readers and adults。 And with as many dragons there are we never get lost on who is who。 The artist makes every dragon distinguishing from the next。 The humor is great too。 We love this series。 This second book gives great hidden back stories and has great re I’m reading this graphic novel series with my 7 year old son。 We love it! Just like the first Wings of Fire graphic novel, I really like the art style and of course, I enjoy the story。 But, yet again it just didn't really do it for me。 But, I do think I enjoyed this one a tad bit more than the first, probably because I think The Lost Heir may be my favorite book in the Wings of Fire series。 I also have some memories that have to do with this graphic novel, so thinking about those memories while reading this。 Just like the first Wings of Fire graphic novel, I really like the art style and of course, I enjoy the story。 But, yet again it just didn't really do it for me。 But, I do think I enjoyed this one a tad bit more than the first, probably because I think The Lost Heir may be my favorite book in the Wings of Fire series。 I also have some memories that have to do with this graphic novel, so thinking about those memories while reading this。 。。。more

"The Lost Heir" is based on the Wings of Fire novels。 It is only a short book and very easy to read。This book is about a SeaWing, named Tsunami, and the dragonets of destiny。 The dragonets go to find Tsunami's mother, the Queen, while there is a war going on。 They find her and then find out she has a sister, and another one is about to hatch。 The main character in this graphic novel is Tsunami。 She is a brave dragon willing to do anything to save her friends。 She is even willing to risk her life "The Lost Heir" is based on the Wings of Fire novels。 It is only a short book and very easy to read。This book is about a SeaWing, named Tsunami, and the dragonets of destiny。 The dragonets go to find Tsunami's mother, the Queen, while there is a war going on。 They find her and then find out she has a sister, and another one is about to hatch。 The main character in this graphic novel is Tsunami。 She is a brave dragon willing to do anything to save her friends。 She is even willing to risk her life for them to live。 She is kind, but if you get on her bad side she can get very angry。 My highlight in is book was when Tsunami's mothers egg is hatching。 The illustrations of the little dragon are so well done it makes her look so cute。 I enjoyed Tsunami finding out who her father was (not going to say。) It was so surprising to find out about her father, I was almost as shocked as she was! I can tell you there are only a couple of things about this book that I personally don't like。 The first is that it is so short, and the second is that it sometimes jumps scenes, which gets quite confusing。 I recommend this graphic novel for 8-17。 Any younger then 8 might find it hard to follow and it probably wouldn't appeal to an older audience。 。。。more

Amazing book with stunning and detailed imagery。 I finished the whole thing in one night--I couldn't put it down。 It can get kind of graphic though, so be prepared if you wish to read it。 (This entire review goes for all other WOF graphic novels except number four, which comes out late December。) Amazing book with stunning and detailed imagery。 I finished the whole thing in one night--I couldn't put it down。 It can get kind of graphic though, so be prepared if you wish to read it。 (This entire review goes for all other WOF graphic novels except number four, which comes out late December。) 。。。more

My oldest niece loves this series (both prose and graphic novels)。 She's got the prophecy memorized and every last detail about these dragons down。 We've had to drag her away from them on more than one occasion, so I guess that warrants the high rating。 My oldest niece loves this series (both prose and graphic novels)。 She's got the prophecy memorized and every last detail about these dragons down。 We've had to drag her away from them on more than one occasion, so I guess that warrants the high rating。 。。。more
